Harford Glen has a lot of great trails! There's also a hawk and owl that live near the main entrance. The main drawback is that it is only open in the summer.
Harford Glen is a beautiful place to hike and explore. The park is open to the public on weekends during the school year and seven days a week during the summer months.
Some short trails (1-2 miles), wildlife, and a catch and release pond. There is a bird sanctuary here, based on the signage, but I didn't see many birds. I took my 8 year old on the trail following the stream. It was just over 2 miles RT. We saw a deer and a huge fallen tree. This would be an excellent spot for a quick walk in nature without many people around.
Wonderful walk in the woods. Loved the wildlife we got to see!(Beaver, Deer, Heron to name a few.
One of favorite places to visit. You can hike, fish, cool your feet off in the little stream and look at the animals they have on the grounds. Such a beautiful park.
If they were more organized in the way they run the activities and events this place would be amazing. They do summer camps and over night activities, and a lot of great learning opportunities but there are always run not quite right. It is kind a sad because the place is great location, with great natural areas and so much potential.
stunning 🤩 the trails could use a little clean up but overall it’s definitely worth a visit! …
Beautiful grounds with a lot of history, a great backdrop for education in environmental studies, many trails to explore.
